Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers on local and regional routes within the Boston metropolitan area.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo safely and efficiently using appropriate equipment.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and daily logs.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Provide exceptional customer service while interacting with clients and dispatch.
- Report any vehicle maintenance needs or safety hazards immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Willingness to obtain or maintain necessary endorsements (Hazmat, Tanker, or Doubles/Triples if applicable).
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Basic mechanical knowledge and ability to perform minor vehicle troubleshooting.
- Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor.
