Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A) safely and efficiently in accordance with all DOT regulations and company policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the safety of the cargo and the vehicle.
- Load and unload freight accurately, ensuring cargo security and damage prevention.
- Maintain accurate logs (DVIR) and complete all required paperwork in a timely manner.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and route changes.
- Adhere to strict safety standards and promote a culture of safety within the company.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable professional driving experience preferred.
- Must pass a DOT physical examination and drug screening.
- Ability to lift and handle cargo of varying weights (up to 50 lbs) occasionally.
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations, hours of service, and cargo securement.
- Reliable personal vehicle and valid driver's license.
