Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A CDL) to transport freight safely and efficiently across designated routes.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT regulations.
- Manage all required paperwork, including logbooks, delivery receipts, and inspection reports, accurately and on time.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring cargo protection and proper weight distribution.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company driving policies, and safety protocols to maintain a perfect safety record.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to resolve issues and ensure timely deliveries.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR) with no preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screening.
- Strong knowledge of DOT Hours of Service (HOS) regulations and pre-trip inspection procedures.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet strict delivery deadlines.
- Basic computer proficiency for electronic logging devices (ELD) and documentation.
