Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (Class A) in accordance with all traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure cargo and equipment are secure and road-ready.
- Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment, ensuring cargo integrity throughout the transit.
- Maintain accurate logbooks, delivery receipts, and all required paperwork in strict compliance with FMCSA regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times, route changes, and potential delays.
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks to prevent breakdowns and ensure fleet health.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) and DOT drug screen clearance.
- Clean driving record with no more than two preventable accidents in the last three years.
- Ability to pass a background check and substance abuse screening.
- Strong communication skills and a unwavering commitment to safety.
