Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial delivery trucks (Class A or B) to transport goods to various locations.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring items are protected during transit.
- Interact professionally with customers, answering questions and resolving delivery issues.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and paperwork in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws and company safety policies at all times.
- Keep the vehicle clean and organized to present a professional image.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) issued by the state.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no serious traffic violations within the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Basic English reading and writing skills for documentation purposes.
- Willingness to undergo paid on-the-job training for commercial driving.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to meet strict delivery deadlines.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and load cargo into the truck compartment.
