Responsibilities
- Operate commercial delivery vehicles in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and compliance.
- Load and unload freight accurately and securely, ensuring cargo protection during transit.
- Interact professionally with customers and verify delivery documentation upon completion of routes.
- Maintain accurate logs and records, including electronic logging devices (ELD) and mileage reports.
- Uphold a clean driving record and adhere to all Hours of Service (HOS) regulations.
- Report any vehicle maintenance issues or safety hazards immediately to management.
Qualifications
- Clean Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Valid Medical Card (DOT) required.
- Pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Ability to operate a variety of delivery equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
