Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and trailers in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Load and unload freight ensuring proper weight distribution and secure cargo using straps and dunnage.
- Deliver products to various customer locations in Long Beach and surrounding areas in a timely manner.
- Complete daily vehicle inspections and maintenance checks (DVIR) accurately.
- Handle all necessary paperwork, including bills of lading, delivery receipts, and logbooks.
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance at all times, both in the cab and on the customer site.
- Communicate professionally with dispatch and customers to ensure satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR check within the last 3 years).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination (Hearing, Vision, Blood Pressure).
- Basic computer literacy for logging and digital paperwork.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to lift and move heavy cargo (up to 50 lbs) occasionally and perform physical tasks at loading docks.
