Responsibilities
- Perform safe and efficient delivery of cargo to designated routes within the San Francisco Bay Area.
- Load and unload trucks safely, ensuring cargo security and proper placement to prevent damage.
- Interact professionally with customers, verifying deliveries and obtaining required signatures.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and adhere to all Electronic Logging Device (ELD) regulations.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and DOT regulations.
- Report any vehicle maintenance issues or safety hazards immediately to management.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable route driving experience preferred.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no serious infractions or DUIs in the last 5 years.
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Basic knowledge of map reading and proficiency with GPS navigation systems.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-service oriented attitude.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts and occasional weekends.
