Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for regional routes within Kansas and surrounding states
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance records
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and HOS compliance protocols
- Load/unload freight with proper handling techniques and equipment
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members
- Document delivery receipts and resolve minor shipment discrepancies
- Represent the company professionally at customer locations
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices
- Excellent time management and route navigation skills
- Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends/holidays
- Basic computer literacy for ELD and reporting systems
