Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class A trucks safely and efficiently to deliver cargo on time.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload freight securely, utilizing proper tie-down techniques.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and mileage logs.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status.
- Keep the cab and trailer clean and organized.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) and DOT medical card.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Clean driving record with no major violations (DUI, reckless driving, etc.) within the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong understanding of interstate traffic laws and regulations.
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor vehicle troubleshooting.
