Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the safety of the cargo and the vehicle.
- Manage logbooks and electronic logging devices (ELD) accurately to ensure compliance with FMCSA regulations.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance, representing the company positively at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and potential delays.
- Follow all safety protocols and participate in regular safety training sessions.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) and DOT physical card.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred (new grads welcome with mentorship).
- Clean driving record with no more than 3 preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and sitting for extended periods.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to work independently.
