Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles on local and regional routes within Michigan and surrounding states.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle compliance and safety.
- Load and unload freight securely, adhering to weight and balance regulations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date logbooks and electronic logging device (ELD) records.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
- Keep the cab and cargo area clean and organized at all times.
- Adhere strictly to all federal, state, and company safety policies and regulations.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B.
- Current DOT medical card and medical certificate.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, traffic laws, and safety procedures.
- Reliable personal vehicle for company errands (if applicable).
