Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 8 tractor-trailers for regional routes within New York and surrounding states
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety policies
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and document maintenance reports
- Coordinate with dispatch team for efficient loading/unloading operations
- Maintain accurate delivery records and customer communication logs
- Utilize GPS technology for route optimization and on-time delivery
- Participate in ongoing safety training and equipment certification
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with NYC traffic patterns and delivery restrictions
- Basic knowledge of cargo securement and weight distribution
- Strong communication skills and customer service orientation
- Ability to work flexible schedules including early mornings and weekends
- Pass background check and TSA clearance requirements
