Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers for local and regional routes within San Jose Bay Area
- Inspect vehicles before/after trips to ensure compliance with DOT regulations
- Accurately complete delivery documentation and electronic logging systems
- Maintain excellent customer service during loading/unloading operations
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules and time-sensitive freight requirements
- Report mechanical issues and coordinate maintenance needs promptly
- Participate in ongoing safety training and compliance updates
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
- Proficient in DOT regulations and electronic logging devices
- Strong knowledge of Bay Area geography and traffic patterns
- Physical ability to climb, lift (up to 50 lbs), and operate loading equipment
- Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation
