Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 8 tractor-trailers for local and regional deliveries
- Adhere to DOT regulations and maintain accurate trip documentation
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and report maintenance needs
- Coordinate with dispatch for efficient route planning and on-time deliveries
- Load/unload freight with proper equipment handling protocols
- Maintain clean driving record and safety compliance
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with minimum 2 years verifiable experience
- Clean MVR and ability to pass DOT physical
- Familiarity with Washington DC metro area routes
- Strong knowledge of cargo securement and safety protocols
- Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings
- Basic computer skills for electronic logging
- Drug-free workplace compliance required
