Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (dry van or refrigerated) for weekend shift routes covering Texas and surrounding states
- Adhere to all FMCSA regulations, including HOS (Hours of Service) compliance and DOT inspections
- Complete accurate delivery documentation and electronic logging (ELD) in real-time
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and basic preventive maintenance checks
- Coordinate with dispatch and customers for efficient loading/unloading operations
- Maintain clean driving record and zero preventable accident record
- Participate in ongoing safety training and equipment orientation programs
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with at least 1 year of tractor-trailer experience
- Clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in past 3 years)
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Experience with electronic logging devices (ELD) and transportation software
- Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations and safety protocols
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate in various weather conditions
- Weekend availability required (Friday-Sunday or Saturday-Monday shifts)
- Must be 21+ years old with US citizenship or valid work authorization
