Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks to transport goods across Ohio and surrounding states
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations, HOS compliance, and company safety protocols
- Plan efficient routes using GPS systems while meeting delivery deadlines
- Load/unload cargo with proper securing techniques to prevent damage
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding shipment status
- Document delivery exceptions and resolve transportation issues promptly
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A license with minimum 1 year experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to work Saturdays/Sundays with flexible scheduling
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices and route navigation
- Physical ability to handle cargo loading/unloading up to 50 lbs
- Strong knowledge of Ohio roadways and regional geography
- Pass background check and drug screening requirements
