Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A tractor-trailers on weekend routes between San Antonio and regional hubs
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate electronic logs
- Load/unload freight with proper securing protocols
- Adhere to FMCSA regulations and company safety standards
- Communicate with dispatch regarding delivery status and route changes
- Minimize transit times through efficient route planning
- Represent SwiftHaul professionally at client facilities
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years recent tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb trailer decks
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Knowledge of Texas/Florida transportation regulations
- Strong navigation skills and map reading abilities
- Flexibility for occasional overnight trips
- Team player with excellent communication skills
