Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (dry van, refrigerated, or flatbed) in DC metro area
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules and DOT regulations
- Maintain accurate delivery records and route documentation
- Perform pre-trip inspections and basic vehicle maintenance
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients
- Load/unload freight with proper handling techniques
- Manage time-sensitive deliveries in high-traffic urban environments
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Familiarity with DC metro traffic patterns and regulations
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Strong navigation skills (GPS knowledge required)
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- HAZMAT endorsement preferred
