Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport goods within Washington DC metro area
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and local traffic laws
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation
- Perform pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and basic maintenance
- Coordinate with dispatch team for efficient route planning
- Communicate professionally with clients and warehouse staff
- Ensure timely delivery while prioritizing safety protocols
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
- Familiarity with Washington DC metro routes and regulations
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- DOT medical certification current
- Experience with hazmat or tanker endorsements preferred
