Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL) to transport goods to designated locations
- Perform pre-trip inspections and ensure vehicle maintenance compliance
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Plan efficient routes while navigating DC's complex urban infrastructure
- Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading/unloading processes
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Strong knowledge of DC metropolitan area geography
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Flexibility for early morning start times and occasional overtime
