Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A tractor-trailers for local and regional deliveries within Washington DC metropolitan area
- Perform pre-trip inspections and ensure compliance with DOT regulations and safety standards
- Accurately document delivery logs, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance reports
- Coordinate with dispatch team for efficient route planning and on-time deliveries
- Maintain clean driving record and adhere to all traffic laws and company policies
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading/unloading operations
- Operate in various weather conditions while prioritizing safety
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Knowledge of Washington DC traffic regulations and metro area geography
- Strong time management and route optimization skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed
