Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and vans to deliver freight to designated locations within the DC metro area and surrounding regions.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and vehicle maintenance.
- Load and unload cargo securely, adhering to weight distribution and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate logs (DVIR, Electronic Logging Devices) and complete necessary paperwork in a timely manner.
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients and business partners during pickups and deliveries.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal traffic laws and company driving policies.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience in a professional environment.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) and DOT physical.
- Clean driving record with no more than two moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Strong knowledge of DC traffic patterns and local regulations is a plus.
