Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A vehicles in local and regional routes.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance.
- Load and unload cargo securely, adhering to weight distribution and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding schedules and delays.
- Adhere strictly to all FMCSA and DOT regulations, safety policies, and company procedures.
- Conduct minor vehicle maintenance checks and report mechanical issues promptly.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable driving experience (Class A) preferred.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safety procedures.
- Excellent verbal communication and problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts and adapt to changing schedules.
