Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 8 tractor-trailers on long-haul routes
- Adhere to strict FMCSA regulations and HOS compliance
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and basic preventative maintenance
- Coordinate with dispatch for efficient route optimization
- Document logs, bills of lading, and incident reports
- Maintain professional customer relations during deliveries
- Participate in ongoing safety training programs
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year OTR experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Basic GPS navigation proficiency
- Flexibility for overnight travel (70% of time)
- No preventable accidents in past 3 years
- HAZMAT endorsement preferred
