Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (dry van, refrigerated, or flatbed) across designated routes
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and ensure compliance with FMCSA regulations
- Accurately maintain electronic logs and delivery documentation
- Coordinate with dispatch team for efficient route optimization and delivery timing
- Load/unload cargo with proper handling techniques
- Address minor mechanical issues and coordinate maintenance schedules
- Uphold company safety standards and defensive driving practices
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable OTR experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with HOS regulations and ELD systems
- Basic mechanical knowledge for roadside assessments
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Strong communication skills and customer service focus
- Flexibility for regional routes and occasional overnight stays
