Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers and box trucks, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and safety standards are met before departure.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure the truck is road-ready.
- Accurately maintain electronic logging devices (ELD) and document delivery status, mileage, and hours of service.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to resolve any issues and ensure timely deliveries.
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance while representing Apex Logistics Solutions.
- Follow all safety protocols and company procedures to minimize risk on the road.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B required.
- Clean driving record with no more than one moving violation in the past 3 years.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable professional truck driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination (medical card).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in varying weather conditions.
- Basic computer literacy for logging and reporting purposes.
