Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles (dry van/refrigerated) on assigned regional routes
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Load/unload freight using pallet jacks and forklifts when required
- Adhere strictly to HOS regulations and DOT compliance standards
- Deliver freight to distribution centers, retail locations, and warehouses
- Utilize GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning
- Communicate with dispatch team regarding delivery status and potential delays
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with California highway systems and mountain routes
- Basic knowledge of cargo securement and weight distribution
- Proficient in electronic logging devices (ELD) systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
