Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A tractor-trailers on regional routes within Ohio and surrounding states
- Perform pre-trip inspections and ensure compliance with FMCSA regulations
- Load/unload freight efficiently while maintaining proper documentation
- Communicate dispatch updates and delivery status in real-time
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules while maintaining safety standards
- Complete electronic logs (ELD) and submit timely paperwork
- Represent Swift Logistics with professionalism in all customer interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year of recent tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Strong knowledge of Ohio roadways and regional geography
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Willingness to work flexible schedules including early mornings
- Basic familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELD)
