Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (dry van and reefers) on long-haul routes
- Maintain accurate electronic logs and delivery documentation
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and basic preventative maintenance
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and DOT regulations
- Collaborate with logistics team for optimal route planning
- Represent Southwest Logistics professionally with all clients
- Manage time-sensitive deliveries with precision
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Basic knowledge of electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Strong geographical knowledge of Southwest US
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Flexibility for overnight travel and irregular schedules
