Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport freight across designated routes
- Adhere to all DOT regulations, safety protocols, and hours-of-service requirements
- Conduct pre-trip inspections, vehicle maintenance checks, and basic troubleshooting
- Plan efficient delivery routes while meeting strict deadlines and customer expectations
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and electronic logging system records
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and warehouse personnel
- Represent Swift Logistics professionally in all customer interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience
- Clean driving record with no major violations in the past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Proficient in electronic logging device (ELD) usage and navigation systems
- Strong commitment to safety and defensive driving practices
- Flexibility for overnight travel and irregular schedules
- Basic mechanical knowledge for roadside assistance situations
