Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and vans to transport goods to designated locations in Sacramento and surrounding areas.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring items are protected from damage during transit.
- Maintain accurate records of delivery, mileage, and hours of service (HOS) in accordance with DOT regulations.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients to resolve any delivery issues efficiently.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B CDL license with a clean driving record (no major violations within the last 3 years).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws and safe driving practices.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet strict delivery deadlines.
- Basic computer literacy for logging and reporting tasks.
