Responsibilities
- Operate commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) safely and legally in accordance with FMCSA regulations and company policies.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure mechanical safety and compliance.
- Load and secure cargo according to weight and balance guidelines to prevent damage during transit.
- Maintain accurate records of daily operations and delivery receipts via Electronic Logging Device (ELD).
- Adhere to strict schedules to ensure on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding load status and any delays.
- Keep the truck cabin and exterior clean at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with the required endorsements (Hazmat and Tanker endorsements a plus).
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (MEC) and DOT drug screen.
- Clean driving record with no more than two preventable accidents in the last three years.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor troubleshooting and vehicle maintenance.
