Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles safely and efficiently to deliver freight on time.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness.
- Load and unload cargo securely, following weight distribution guidelines.
- Maintain accurate daily logs and records in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and potential delays.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety protocols at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Basic understanding of vehicle mechanics and safety features.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to meet strict delivery deadlines.
- Willingness to undergo company-sponsored training for new drivers.
