Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (CMV) on highways and local routes.
- Load and unload freight accurately and securely using proper equipment.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and adhere to HOS regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules.
- Ensure the preservation of cargo during transit and handle claims professionally.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable over-the-road (OTR) experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical exam and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, safety protocols, and cargo securement.
- Willingness to work varying shifts and weekends as required by business needs.
- Basic computer skills for logging and reporting.
