Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles safely and efficiently to ensure timely delivery of goods across the region.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to verify safety standards and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Manage cargo loading and unloading processes to ensure product integrity and security.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any potential delays.
- Uphold the company’s strict safety policies and promote a culture of compliance on the road.
Qualifications
- CDL Class A or B (Class A preferred for long-haul, Class B for local) with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and obtain a Medical Examiner’s Certificate.
- Strong commitment to safety, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with the necessary endorsements (Tanker, Hazmat, or Doubles/Triples may be a plus).
- Basic computer literacy for logging and reporting purposes.
- Flexibility to work varied schedules, including weekends and holidays, as required.
