Responsibilities
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and secure cargo according to weight and balance regulations.
- Drive commercial trucks in a safe and defensive manner, adhering to all traffic laws and DOT regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs and records of driving hours, mileage, and fuel consumption.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues.
- Practice good housekeeping to keep the cab and cargo area clean and organized.
- Attend all required safety meetings and training sessions.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Must be willing to complete our paid training program if no prior experience.
- Clean driving record (MVR) within the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a DOT drug screen and background check.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
- Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including weekends if necessary.
- Basic mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues.
