Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A tractor-trailers during assigned night shift hours (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Transport freight between distribution centers and metropolitan delivery points
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and document vehicle maintenance requirements
- Maintain electronic logs (ELD) and ensure DOT compliance
- Coordinate with dispatch team for efficient route planning and on-time deliveries
- Provide exceptional customer service during dock interactions
- Adhere to all safety protocols in high-traffic urban environments
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Strong knowledge of Washington DC metropolitan area geography
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
- Basic computer skills for ELD and communication systems
