Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (53' dry van reefers) during overnight hours
- Plan efficient routes using GPS navigation systems for on-time deliveries
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and document maintenance reports
- Load/unload freight with proper equipment and securement protocols
- Maintain electronic logs (ELD) and comply with DOT/FMCSA regulations
- Communicate with dispatch team regarding delivery status and route changes
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery and pickup interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Pass background check and drug screening (company-paid)
- Knowledge of Washington D.C. and Ohio highway systems
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Flexibility to adjust routes based on delivery priorities
- Basic computer skills for electronic documentation
