Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for long-haul shipments across designated routes
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere to strict HOS regulations and DOT compliance standards
- Plan efficient routes while adapting to weather and traffic conditions
- Load/unload cargo with proper securing techniques
- Communicate with dispatch team regarding shipment status and delays
- Maintain detailed delivery documentation and customer records
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable OTR experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Proficiency in electronic logging systems (ELD)
- Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations and safety protocols
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Excellent time management and route optimization skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
