Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for regional freight delivery
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and DOT compliance documentation
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and report maintenance needs
- Collaborate with dispatch for efficient route planning and timing
- Handle specialized freight with temperature control protocols
- Represent Delta Transport with professional customer interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Pass federal background check and drug screening
- Knowledge of Louisiana/Mississippi transportation regulations
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Strong communication and time-management skills
- HAZMAT endorsement preferred (training provided)
