Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 8 tractor-trailers for regional deliveries within Louisiana and surrounding states
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and ensure compliance with FMCSA regulations
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation using electronic logging systems
- Load/unload freight with proper handling techniques to prevent damage
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status
- Adapt to changing schedules and route conditions while prioritizing safety
- Participate in ongoing training to maintain industry certifications
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices (ELD) and basic GPS navigation
- Strong time management skills and ability to meet delivery deadlines
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb equipment safely
- Knowledge of hazardous materials handling (Hazmat certification preferred)
- Must be at least 23 years of age with clean MVR
