Responsibilities
- Operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport goods safely and efficiently
- Perform pre-trip inspections and ensure vehicle maintenance compliance
- Adhere to DOT regulations and maintain accurate driving logs
- Plan optimal routes to meet delivery schedules while prioritizing safety
- Load/unload cargo with precision and proper handling techniques
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Uphold company safety standards and contribute to zero-accident culture
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with HAZMAT regulations (preferred but not required)
- Strong knowledge of Louisville metro area and Kentucky highways
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various weather conditions
