Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 8 trucks for local/regional routes within 150-mile radius of Tucson
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate electronic logs (ELD)
- Load/unload freight with proper securing techniques per DOT regulations
- Coordinate with dispatch team for efficient route planning and delivery timelines
- Maintain clean driving record and comply with all FMCSA safety standards
- Communicate effectively with clients and warehouse personnel
- Participate in quarterly safety training sessions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with minimum 2 years verifiable experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Knowledge of Tucson metro area and surrounding Arizona routes
- Proficiency in using electronic logging devices and transportation software
- Strong attention to detail for documentation and safety compliance
- Pass background check and drug screening per DOT requirements
