Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport freight within Tucson and surrounding areas
- Perform daily pre-trip inspections and ensure compliance with DOT regulations
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and electronic logging systems
- Load/unload cargo with proper equipment handling techniques
- Communicate with dispatch team to optimize delivery routes and timelines
- Represent Southwest Logistics with professional conduct and customer service excellence
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Strong knowledge of Tucson-area streets and highway systems
- Commitment to safety compliance and defensive driving practices
- Flexible schedule availability including early mornings and weekends as needed
