Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for local/regional routes within 100 miles of Raleigh
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations, safety protocols, and delivery schedules
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Load/unload freight efficiently using appropriate equipment (pallet jacks, forklifts)
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Utilize GPS navigation systems for optimal route planning
- Report mechanical issues and coordinate vehicle maintenance
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean MVR
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Proficiency with electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Strong time management and communication skills
- Knowledge of North Carolina traffic laws and local routes
