Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A trucks over local and regional routes within San Diego and surrounding areas.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks) while ensuring cargo security.
- Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, documenting any defects immediately.
- Maintain accurate Electronic Logging Device (ELD) records and Hours of Service (HOS) compliance.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations, company policies, and safety protocols at all times.
- Provide excellent customer service to shippers and receivers.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL License required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience (preferred).
- Clean driving record with no more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Current DOT Medical Card and physical exam certificate.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws and map reading skills.
