Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL) in a safe, efficient, and legal manner.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload freight accurately and securely using proper tie-down techniques.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and driver's logs.
- Adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) and company safety policies and regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members regarding delivery schedules and route changes.
- Keep the cab and trailer clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Must be willing to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws and highway safety.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays if required.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
