Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) in strict adherence to FMCSA regulations and company safety policies.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure equipment is in optimal condition.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently, ensuring weight distribution is correct and cargo is secure.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and all required shipping documentation.
- Communicate proactively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and route changes.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, speed limits, and local driving regulations at all times.
- Uphold the company's reputation for reliability and customer service during every delivery.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience.
- Clean driving record with no major violations within the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and a drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of cargo handling and DOT compliance requirements.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
- Basic computer literacy for logging and documentation purposes.
