Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for regional routes within Indiana and surrounding states
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations and maintain accurate electronic logs (ELD)
- Inspect vehicles pre/post-trip and report maintenance issues promptly
- Load/unload cargo with proper handling techniques and documentation
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding delivery timelines and delays
- Minimize fuel consumption through efficient driving practices
- Represent Midwest Transport Solutions with professionalism at all customer sites
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Knowledge of Indiana roadways and weather considerations
- Strong time management and route navigation skills
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting abilities
- Flexibility for early morning start times and occasional weekend work
- High school diploma or equivalent required
